Its been a good, unpredictable 12 days of work..
Working for a Logistic company in Jurong.
Mon-Fri : 0830-1730
Sat : 0830-1230
Journey from home till office takes a good 1hr and 15mins travelling by 2 different buses.
Since working as front line, data entry the invoices need to be fast and accurate.
The pressure is there..as invoices can come in thick batches or individual invoices.
But starting next month, they will rotate my duty to sorting of invoices.
Since its all about trucking deliveries from Singapore to Kedah and Penang, front line cant afford to make a single mistake.
Its so case sensitive...that any mistype can cause some problems.
So far have not done much O.T
But next month...im sure I need to do some O.T as we are short handed.
1 resigning, 1 on a week leave, 1 about to give birth.
So the status of front-line is ?????
That is the period where the pressure is at the Highest peak as more good come in and out.
Will update you with pictures of the surroundings.

Mother's Day
|
|
Mother's day, we family went to Labrador Park.
To relax on a Sunday.
Nothing much, just go out to explore the park since we have not been there before.
At night, we celebrate Mother's day.
Cut cake...take pictures before I have my beauty rest to prepare for next working day.

Few hours ago, my relatives from KL just reached their home.
Their train was delayed 6.5hours due to track problems.
They should be departed from Singapore around 2210hrs.
But they postponed the departure to 2300hrs.
2300hrs passed. This time, we were told that new departure time will be at 0100hrs.
To compensate the inconvenience, those travelling to KL were given free drinks and bread.
Usually, when they went home, its always in a rush. This time..they got the time to mingle around, kiki kaka much longer than normal.
Adults sleeping on the floor, children sleeping on the chairs.
The temperature in that old railway station become musky and warm.
Even there are fans, the fans can do much to make us feel comfortable.
Around 0110 the gates open.
Everyone starts to queue and went in..
Bid farewell..hugs and well wishes.
So they left...walking away from the gates...
We too walking away leaving the station.
My family went to have our late supper.
The rest who had send the relatives off went on their separate ways.
Mr Rau and the Co went to East Coast. Only to leave ECP around 6am as it starts to rain.
While we were having our supper, Abg Yus received a called from Abg Bob.
We were informed that they are still in Singapore with no sight of the train.
Wahseh...never in life i want to be stranded like them.
No comfort to rest the tired body and eyes.
No where to go and nothing to eat when the tummy growls.
Bottomline is...im glad that they made it home safely even if its late.
Even in future when the train travelling time be cut short to 2.5hrs, if i can choose, i rather take a flight or a coach or drive up to KL.
Wouldnt want to go through the long wait.

A group of 9 person: Myself, my mom, my sis feat her son (Hakim), my bro, Ayie and her bro (Om Boat), Om Ija feat his youngest bro (Om Udy), departed Singapore to Bangkok at 1215hrs by Jetstar airline.
Everything went smoothly during the flight and till the custom check. Since it is our first time bringing big baggage such as pram, we got held back on collecting the pram as we are unsure where is the Collection of Big Baggage counter.
Out from the arrival gate, we went looking for our awaiting chauffer. There 2 modes of transport. One is a luxury van and a Toyota Camry. Me and my fren along with his bro took the Camry and the rest took the luxury van. Poor them, spend time going up n down the airport searching for their chauffer.
Travelling time from Sivarnabhumi International Airport to our Fraser Suites Urbana Sathorn is around 30-40 minutes with no heavy traffic.
Its a new hotel in Sathorn area. They just have a soft opening in Mid-January. Booking the hotel is sheer golden opportunity for us as we were given a special rate to book. We wouldnt trade this hotel for any other famous hotel. Security is taken seriously by the hotel management. Something we foreigners should take it seriously when travelling abroad. Not to say Bangkok is not a safe place to go. Just that we may never know when violence can strike at our doorstep. Even in our own country..doesnt mean there no riots and so on...we are safe.
Everyone check in to their own rooms. We book a 2 bedroom premier, a 2 bedroom executive and a 1 bedroom executive. All unit are equiped with kitchen, washing machine, LCD TVs in each rooms and other necessities. It is a luxury stay for us.
In the evening we went for groceries shopping at Robinson Silom. For your information, try not to buy your groceries from Silom. Its hard to get a taxi...and the traffic is SO HEAVY. A good lesson for us to remember.
At night we just stay in the hotel as we want to reserve the energy for shopping in Chatuchak weekend/JJ market next morning.
So on Saturday (31 March) and Sunday (1st April), we spend our mornings and afternoons shopping in Chatuchak .
Saturday after shopping at JJ market, me, Riz aka Om Ija and his bro, went out to IT mall in Pratunam area. Bought DVD movies to watch during night in our rooms. After IT mall, the 3 of us went to Petchburi Soi 7 for our late lunch. We ate Nangphya Restaurant. The whole stretch of Soi 7 is commonly known for Muslim locally and overseas. Residents in that area are Muslims.
The lunch was delicious and fulfilling. Not because we are hungry and food taste tasty, it is truly tasty with all the ingredients and cooking style that wakes up our sleeping taste bud to its alert tongue dropping finger licking good.
We packed food for my family in hotel. At night, as usual...my mom is too tired to walk. Again the 3 of us went to Sala Daeng. Didnt know that Patpong is around the corner. Along the road of Sala Daeng, there were lots of small stalls selling crafts, unique design T-shirts, bags and so on. Patpong is a good place to visit. But to those who is particular about their night life, you shouldnt be bothered at all. You can choose your way to walk. Yes, the doors are wide open, and we can see scantily gals dancing at bar tops, it shouldnt make the walk a disgusting one. Just dont look and walk lah. IF you bring children, you may want to keep them close to you. Hehehe..they may wonder off and oggling their eyes on those gals.
After Patpong, we went to Suan Lum Night market. Its like JJ market, just that here the shops are organised. Prices are steep so remember to BARGAIN.
Sunday night, went to Patpong and Suan Lum Night Bazzar again. But this time with Sister along since she has to buy souveniers for the in-laws.
Monday morning when to MBK. So early until we have to wait for them to open up for business.hehehehe...Kiasu-ism
Since most of the shops open only at 11, we went to KFC for hot tea and chocolate sundae while waiting. After sitting at KFC for 45 minutes, we went down, and slowly shops starts to open. We bought more shades. Just aint contented with god noes how many shades we have bought at JJ. We also spend our money on buying dried fruits. Its a level 6. The only shop on that level that sells dried fruits. Bought durian crisp, dried strawberry, dried guava and dried manggo.
As for me..i spend my money on bags, shades and clothings. Tell you the truth...i didnt spend much this time. Maybe because this way it only gives me reasons to go back there again. Wahahaha..yeah..Bangkok is a place i want to go many2 times.
Tuesday morning, the day of our departure. Me, my mom, Riz and Udy do our last minute shopping at MBK again. Hehehehe...
Mom bought more bags and a couple of purses. Not fogetting cosmetics too.
Its our last minute shopping so we spend our last few thousand bahts..
We even had our Brunch at the food court.
Its tasty. We ate Yellow rice with chicken cutlet. Rest assured..its Halal stall.
Back in the hotel...so dreadful to pack our last minute shopping items into our luggages.
Aiya...
At 4pm, our transport fetched us to the Airport. Around 5 we check in and at 745pm, we fly back to Singapore. Reached Singapore aroudn 10 plus.
P/s: there are only a couple of pictures to show for the trip. As most of it..we had it recorded in our HDD handycam.
